Our 'Meal with a Message' service is held on the 1st Sunday of the month 12:30 - 1:30pm.
Feel free to come along and join us for friendship, conversation, a light meal which is followed by a short Gospel message for all the family - it doesn't matter if you're 90 or 9, you will be made very welcome.
Get in touch if you want to know more, or have any questions.
We meet every Sunday morning at 10:30am for the Worship and Communion Service to which all believers who wish to remember our Lord Jesus are welcome.
This service lasts for approximately an hour and the format is simple with no set programme - the male members of the church take part as they feel led by praying, reading the Bible, giving a thought and giving thanks to God for our Lord Jesus.
During the service we take part in 'The Lord's Supper' or 'The breaking of bread' as it is referred to in the Bible. Some churches may call it 'The communion service' where the Lord is remembered in His sacrificial death, by taking the bread and wine which represents His body and His blood.
'So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.'
You have been baptised by immersion as a believer - Acts 8:36-38
You are a committed member of a biblical church fellowship - Acts 2:41-42
You want to honour the Lord by obeying His Word and separating yourself from known sin - Hebrews 12:14; 1st John 1:7-9
If you are unsure about any of the statements above, just pass the emblems on to the person beside you, or back to the person who is offering them to you. Please do not feel embarrassed about this - no one will think anything negative of you.
The Family service starts at 12:00pm on a Sunday and, as it's name suggests, it's for all the family.
We usually have a time of singing and some fun choruses for the kids - often with actions - and sometimes even a quiz. This is generally followed by a 15 to 20 minute talk by a visiting speaker or sometimes by one of the men in the church.
The preacher usually concentrates on the Gospel Message, telling everybody about the Love of God, shown in His Son, Jesus Christ, who died for all our sins on the cross at Calvary.
As Christians, we believe that it is imperative to learn more about the Bible and God's love and plans for us. This applies both to us as individuals, and as part of God's Church.
To this end, personal daily Bible study is important, but we also meet on the 1st and 3rd Sunday evenings in the church at 6:30pm for Bible teaching which usually takes the form of a visiting preacher delivering a talk for about 30 minutes.
On the 2nd Sunday of the month, we meet at 6:30pm in the church for an informal Bible study where we discuss a particular topic, book or chapter in the Bible.
However on some occasions, a special report may be given, a video shown or a praise night held.
Just as we regard learning about the Bible to be important, so we also regard prayer as being imperative. Just as personal prayer is important, we also meet in the church for a time of prayer every Wednesday night from 7:45-8:45pm.
Prayer serves several different functions, such as:-
To worship God
To give thanks
To pray for those in need
To pray for God's guidance
This is a very important and exciting service which is imperative to the life of the church.
